Carlie Taylor Sings Nationally For The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

One of Ferreri & Fogle’s own performed nationally at the celebration of the 81st birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Atlanta.

Carlie Taylor, who works as a receptionist in the Lexington office, performed at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King preached from 1960 to 1968.

Taylor sang Venessa Bell Armstrong’s Faith that Conquers as the featured soloist at the service.

Taylor was invited to perform through a connection at her church in Lexington, the House of God.

Taylor also attended The King Center’s Salute to Greatness Awards Dinner, which recognizes national and international individuals and corporations that exemplify greatness in the spirit of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Taylor was featured in Merlene Davis’ column in the Lexington Herald Leader.

This year marks the 25th federal observance of King’s birthday. The Ebenezer service will be replayed on C-SPAN.
